Directions: In a little village intersection just below the town of Belves ( one of the Plus Belle Villages) in the Dordogne. Four of us enjoyed a lovely Sunday (rainy) lunch at this restaurant located just below the medieval town of Belves (in the Dordogne). The four course menus were 29 and 34 euros with entree, main, a lovely cheese tray and dessert (and a very nice amuse bouche to begin). The amuse bouche consisted of 3 tiny treats of a tomato tartlet, and tomato cream sort of mousse, and a third item I can't recall...but loved it at the time. The service was very efficient, and every plate was beautifully constructed and delicious. Our lunch was an event that confirmed for me that this little out of the way auberge is what is so wonderful about France. I would highly recommend without reservation.
