Well, we sat on plastic chairs and listened the road noise. So it wasn't the ambiance that was memorable. Would we go there again? Absolutely!!!

Directions: From the middle of Dieulefit take the D538 in the direction of Nyons. Les Brises is on your left, 2-3km from Dieulefit. Parking is in a lot on the right.

Auberge des Brises is a 2-person operation - Didier and Marie-Anne Le Doujet. We never saw Didier - we just enjoyed his creations. Marie-Anne did everything else.

We had a wonderful meal. Our entrées were "Pressée de foie gras de canard au pain d'épices, compotée aux poires aux miel," and "Tommes de chevre et ravioles en salade" - foie gras and a salad with goat cheese and ravioli. Our Plats principaux were "Supreme de pintadreau aux olives noires" and "Filets de rouget au pistou de légumes." Okay, guinea fowl and fish - both excellent. The cheese course was a personal highlight - "Fromage blanc de chevre a la creme" - impossible to describe the wonderful taste and texture. Desserts were just very good.

L'addition, which included a bottle of water "gaseuse", two aperitifs and 1/2 bottle of Vinsorbes red wine was 76.50 euro. It was our best meal in our two weeks in the area. Go there!
