If you love pedigreed poultry, this is the place to go. Lunch specials for 15 Euros.

My husband and I had Le Coq Rico on our radar before going to Paris as we researched food places in our Montmartre apartment rental neighborhood.

Le Coq Rico has a daily lunch special for 15 euros (doesn't include dessert), with wine at another 5 euros. We lunched on a Monday and a Thursday and were pleased with both the quality and taste of the food as well as outstanding service. Though the service includes putting your napkin on your lap and crumbing the table, there's nothing pretentious about the attitude. Everyone was all smiles and friendly.

The bread is fresh and is the basket is refilled. Served with beure de bordier! Yummy!

Monday's dish was a pasta (macaroni) with an incredible, light sauce of chicken broth, wine and butter (I'm guessing), cubes of tasty chicken and thin slices of cheese.

Dinners are much more expensive and as one expat friend said, is served more American style than French. We didn't try dinner.

We'll definitely return and I hope the quality and service will never go downhill.
