The rental was on Rue Vavin in the 6th arrondisement of Paris. On arrival we immediately felt at home in this quiet neighborhood. There are several handy Metro stops and bakers, butchers, cafes, and even a wonderful chocolate shop nearby. Luxembourg Gardens was a short walk away and we even had direct access to RER B for transportation to and from CDG airport within walking distance. The perfect rental in a lovely building. The apartment was on the French 5th floor (USA's 6th) but had a small elevator and was easily accessable.

I would definitely rent it again but much more importantly for Slow Travel members, I would heartily recommend the folks at VacationInParis.com. Their website photos and discriptions are true to the apartment you rent. They have an apartment manager in Paris to help, and they return paperwork and deposits in a very timely fashion. This was my second experience renting in Paris and my first with this company, and I am not planning on renting with any other company when traveling to Paris in the future.
