Vacation rentals in France (farms, cottages, gites, apartments)
Review 2990: Owner, Rooster Cottage (#2985)
2bed/1bath cottage near Corseul, Brittany
July 2007, 1 week
In the beautiful Breton countryside, next to cornfields and a dairy farm.
Very close to villages (Corseul, Plancoet) and the sea (approx. 12 km).
A 17th or 18th century stone cottage but relatively recently renovated. Very comfortable and quiet. Perfect for our family of five.
Garden with various fruit trees. Large lawn. Patio furniture.
Very comfortable furniture. Very clean and comfortable. Plenty of space.
Very comfy beds. Very spacious. Two full bathrooms, both clean and modern.
Spacious and well-equipped kitchen. Any chef would be happy with the equipment.
Problems or Bonuses
It is much nicer than the pictures on the website indicate. The only issue (and it is not unique to this house -- we found similar problem throughout France) is the pillows. If you are used to comfy pillows, suggest bringing your own.
Agency and Representatives (and price)
There is no agency. Is rented by the owner in summer months only. The price is very reasonable.
Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?
ABSOLUTELY! And we hope to stay there again. My two daughters cried the night before we left. They didn't want to leave!
Things to do in this area
The sea! Good places to eat and do groceries. Very close to St. Malo, Dinard, Dinan...lots to do!
