3bed/2bath apartment in 7th arrondissement, Paris WhenJune 2007, 8 days LocationThe area was quite and located in the 7th arrondissement. Nearby AmenitiesThe closest grocery store was around the corner next to the metro Ecole Militaire. The House/ApartmentOn the sixth floor of apartment building. Terrace had views of the Golden Dome and Eiffel Tower. Three bedroom, one with shower (really small) and sink. Other with tub/shower and sink. Separate toilet. Kitchen with washer and a dryer, dishwasher and nice sized fridge. Large dining room and living room. Small elevator in building. I don't think there were other rentals in the building. GardenOutside wrap around small terrace, but no table/chairs. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe apartment was clean and they made sure that there were enough chairs. When we called to say we did not have enough towels and coffee cups, they were quickly replaced. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe beds were comfortable. One queen, one double and one twin. The house was advertised as sleeps six, but one twin bed had been removed. They did bring in an airbed, which was fine for my six-year old, but at $500 per night, I would have been upset if an adult was sleeping on it! There were two showers, but one was tiny. You couldn't dry off in the shower room, not enough room even for a child. Only one toilet. They were clean. KitchenKitchen was a good size and larger than normal fridge. All appliances had instruction in English. Plenty of pots and pans. We cooked full meals with no problems. Problems or BonusesLocal agency, Parissimo, was very helpful with questions and supplying necessary items that were missing. Agency and Representatives (and price)Regent suites is located in LA, so it made it easy to deal with them. We paid $500 per night. They also arranged transportation from airport at reasonable cost (€70 for four with lots of luggage!) Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?I would stay again. I might check directly with Parissimo to see if the price might be better. Lots of restaurants in the area. Being a residential area, it was nice to come "home" to a quiet part of Paris. Things to do in this areaThere is a supermarket at the metro stop. Many restaurants in the seventh that are within walking distance. Also near Eiffel Tower, Invalides, Rodin museum. Also Rue Cler is around the corner. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
