2bed/2bath in the Marais, Paris WhenNovember 2007, 1 week LocationThe property was perfectly located in a quiet street in the 3rd arrondissement, one of the nicest and most convenient districts of Paris. The building had excellent security and a small lift. Nearby AmenitiesThe apartment was within walking distance to everything Paris has to offer. We walked to the Eiffel Tower and the Latin Quarter as we were in Paris during a metro strike. The metro (Arts and Metiers) is around the corner. The Ile St Louis and the Louvre were 10 minutes walk. Countless restaurants are in the area and it is only a short walk to any one of several Monoprix. The House/ApartmentThe apartment is in a typical Haussmann style building. You enter through a security gate leading into to a courtyard. The apartment is on the third floor and is serviced by a small lift. The staircase is steep and winding. The apartment is very well decorated in restful tones. The beds are extremely comfortable and large. Both bathrooms have American style showers which is always a bonus in France. The apartment is heated. The owners have spent a lot of money renovating to a high standard. The apartment was completely private and we heard no noise from the other residents. You can view the apartment directly: Marais Rooftops. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe presentation of the apartment was fantastic. The furniture was new and the apartment very clean. The people responsible for the maintenance and cleaning do a wonderful job. We have been travelling for three months and stayed in a lot of apartments, this one is a 10 out of 10. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe apartment had two king sized beds, one of which could be made up as twins. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. The main had a full size tub. KitchenThe kitchen was well set up with high quality appliances and a delight to use. The only thing missing was a clothes air to dry the washing. Problems or BonusesThe apartment lived up to my expectations. Agency and Representatives (and price)France for Rent were excellent to deal with. The contact person Patrick, responded immediately to my emails. We booked this accommodation last minute, two weeks before we were due in Paris and whilst we were on the road. Patrick was most accommodating with our method of payment and we received our security deposit back within the given time frame. The on site contact person, Joseph was a delight. Other agencies have have dealt with on this trip could learn a lot from these people. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?Yes, definitely. I will use France for Rent and hopefully this very apartment if I am lucky enough to return to Paris. Things to do in this areaIt's Paris, what more can be said.
