1bed/1bath apartment in the Marais, Paris WhenFebruary 2008, 1 week LocationThe location of this rented apartment could not have been better. It is situated in the heart of Paris, or more specifically in the center of the Marais, one of the most charming and beautiful neighborhoods in all of Paris. Nearby AmenitiesThere are at least three fabulous bakeries just around the corner from the apartment, a wonderful grocery store across the street. Infamous chic cafes and bars garnish the street the apartment is located on itself. Amazing French brasseries are just a five-minute walk away. For those who crave alternative culinary options, there are plenty of Japanese restaurants, Italian pizzerias, and what the Marais is famous for - traditional falafel eateries that are to die for. The House/ApartmentThe apartment itself is a beautiful 17th century one, perfectly up kept and in immaculate condition. The apartment is extremely quiet, and is one of several apartments in the charming building. You can view the apartment directly: Bourg. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe furniture was in perfect condition as well and the apartment was beautifully decorated. There was plenty of seating area - two couches, and plenty of chairs for the occasional dinner parties. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe beds were extremely comfortable and the bedroom was fantastic - spacious with a great closet. The window in the bedroom overlooks out to a charming view of the Parisian street. KitchenThe kitchen was very usable- with every utensil available that were of excellent quality. We greatly enjoyed cooking in the kitchen as it was spacious and everything was conveniently located. Problems or BonusesNormally, I stay in a hotel but this time I wished to try an alternative and I was impressed to discover that my experience of Paris was a million times more amazing. Because the on site person was so helpful and receptive, I felt I had all the benefits of the concierge of a hotel on top of having the chance to stay in such a beautiful and charming apartment. Agency and Representatives (and price)The on site person, Josie, was fantastic - she made us feel very welcomed and informed us about everything we needed and wanted to know about the apartment and about Paris. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?I would definitely stay here again; It was an absolutely fabulous experience for me and I would now never wish to stay in Paris any other way. I would recommend this apartment to my best friend in a second! Things to do in this areaYou can do practically everything in this area. It has fantastic eateries, an abundance of boutiques for those who love fashion and shopping, as well as a great nightlife housed in the infamous bars of the areas. There are also an abundance of tourist attractions including famous squares and plazas. There are an endless amount of things to do in the Marais, let alone all of Paris!
