Vacation rentals in France (farms, cottages, gites, apartments)
Review 3521: Owner, The Paris Garrett
studio apartment, 11th arrondissement, Paris
April-May 2008, One week
The apartment is perfectly located in a neighborhood that is hopping with restaurants and cafes. The popular and beautiful Cafe Charbon is a few blocks away, and there are also many ethnic restaurants, which can help you save a bit on dining out. The Metro is just down the street, making it easy to get to any other part of Paris.
Leader Price, a discount grocery store, is just a few blocks away, so we had no trouble stocking up on some basic supplies for our week in Paris. (However, given all of the wonderful restaurants right outside our front door, we didn't eat in much.)
I loved the traditional French apartment building, and being on the top floor made it extra quiet. While small, the apartment had everything I needed: an extremely comfortable bed, kitchenette with two burners, a microwave and a small fridge, a sparking clean bathroom, WiFi Internet, and free phone calls back to the USA.
I thought the apartment was spotless, and despite its small size, very well equipped.
Very comfortable bed, and ample bedding.
Problems or Bonuses
No problems at all!
Agency and Representatives (and price)
Dave and Aralynn were extremely helpful and patient during my visit, and available with advice and assistance.
Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?
Absolutely -- I hope to stay there again, and have been telling friends about it.
Things to do in this area
Cafe Charbon on nearby rue Oberkampf. A bit too crowded in the evenings for me, but otherwise, wonderfully atmospheric.
