Review 3879: Paris Perfect, Meursault and Moulin-a-Vent

Review by gracejoan from US

1bed/1bath apartments in 7th arrondissement, Paris

Sept/Oct 2008, one month

I have been going to France and to Paris for many years.I have rented places all over France and many in Paris. I have also stayed in many Paris hotels.

I have more recently decided on stays of at least one month as I find the flight is the worst part!!

I have stayed in many arrondissements of Paris, but find that I do prefer the 7th. It has such a village like feel, and more great and bibb gourmand restaurants than the 4th, 5th, 6th combined. The bus and metro could not be better and also the convenience to many places by just walking!

I have more recently settled on the Paris Perfect apartments as being "my" apartments. This last trip I stayed in their new Meursault and the even newer Moulin-a-Vent. In April, 2008 I was in the St. Amour. I have also rented one for a month in both the spring and fall of 2009.

Nearby Amenities

Restaurants, groceries and everything else in abundance. What could be better than the four Constant restaurants!

The House/Apartment

The buildings are generally the beautiful decorated ones. The Paris Perfect apartments are most always high up to be bright and to have the views of Paris. The layouts of the apartments vary. Madalyn does a beautiful job in re-doing and decorating; they are easily recognized, just look at the website.

Some have sitting balconies outside ... some wrap around balconies.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

They are as finely decorated and furnished as your home.

They often have beds made just for them ... very fussy as to sleeping quality ... bathrooms are beautiful.

Beautiful is all I can say, full sized refrigerator/freezers, espresso coffee, everything imaginable

Problems or Bonuses

Most people find that the places are even better than the pictures show.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Paris Perfect apartments have the best of everything; they are furnished not as rental quality, but as you would furnish your home. All the conveniences, beautiful kitchens, bathrooms with everything, even wonderful German toiletries. Wi-Fi, free calls to US, taxi and restaurant reservations. Personal care and attention to everything. Most are in the western part of the 7th near Bourdonnais/St. Dominique. Many, many have the Eiffel Tower in plain view. You find that you can easily get used to it just being there.

The Paris Perfect staff is excellent. They go over everything with you. There is also an apartment book with explanation of everything. Paris Perfect will call to see how you are doing and to see if they can do anything for you. The cleaning staff is NOT an outside service; they are Paris Perfect employed people.

All the price information is on their website. I have noted a special called FODORS15 for some winter discounts that are new.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

I think I mentioned earlier that I have stayed in many hotels and apartments ... some are Parisian Flat, Paris Vacation Apartments, Guest Apartments (Ile St.Louis) etc. For me, I find Paris Perfect apartments are right in every way, including the location, which is important to me!

Things to do in this area

ET, Invalides, Rodin, D'Orsay ... need I say more!

The Constant restaurants (four of them) are there for all your needs ... couldn't find better!
