2bed/1.5bath apartment in 9th arrondissement, Paris

Location

In the 9th arrondissment off rue Blanche. A six-floor apartment building, pretty well maintained. The are a couple of metro stops and the bus stop is just half a block away. It's also just a block away from Moulin Rouge.

Nearby Amenities

There a lot of commercial services in this area. Rue Lepic is less than a couple blocks away.

The House/Apartment

The building is in good condition and well maintained. It is occupied mostly by permanent residents, hence, there are normal people noises.

The apartment is on the second floor without an elevator when we stayed there. There are plans to install one at the end of 2008.

There are seven floors with two apartments on floors 1-5 and a few more on the ground and top floors.

The apartment is composed of a hallway, a separate kitchen, two bedrooms, a dining room, a sitting room, and 1.5 bathrooms. This apartment has high ceilings and lots of moldings. It's very charming and very comfortable.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

This apartment is well furnished and well equipped. It's very comfortable. We can actually live here year round. The apartment is also kept very clean and well maintained by the American owners who live a couple of blocks away.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

The beds are comfortable and there are lots of storage space, mostly antique armoires.

The full bathroom is big with two sinks, toilet, tub with overhead shower head and partial glass partition, washing machine, closet space and water heater.

The half bathroom had a toilet and small sink and just off the hallway - great for company use.

Kitchen

The kitchen is fully equipped with a full sized refrigerator, oven, cook top, microwave, separate water heater, and everything needed to cook. Plenty of pots and pans and dishes, flatware,etc. I cooked all our meals here.

Problems or Bonuses

This is a great apartment especially for a long stay.

Bonus: Darrell is a doctor.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Darrell and Stephanie are great. They are Americans living in Paris.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

Yes. I recommend this apartment and would not hesitate to stay here again.
