1bed/1bath apartment in 6th arrondissement, Paris

When

February 2008, 9 nights

Location

This charming Paris apartment was in the central 6th arrondissement. It is a beautiful location with cafes, bistros, markets, and all amenities within a few blocks of the apartment.

Thanks to the two metro stations you may reach all tourist sites in a few stops, but many Paris attractions are already at easy walking distance.

Nearby Amenities

The nearest grocery store is round the corner, while there is a cafeteria just in front of the apartment building. There are also lot of renowned restaurants, patisseries and bakeries if you want to go out for a meal.

The House/Apartment

The apartment was on the sixth floor of a late 19th-early 20th century building served by elevator, and had two terraces with very beautiful views of the city and rooftops. The apartment is very quiet, day and night, with no car noise whatsoever, even when staying in the terraces. There were other apartments on our floor, but truly it was so peaceful, we hardly knew they were there. There was a living room with a bed for one person, a table and comfortable sitting for two; a kitchen independent from the living room; a large bedroom with a bed for two, a dresser and a very ample wardrobe; a bathroom area.

You can view the property directly: Fleurus.

Garden

The apartment had two relatively spacious private terraces, with very nice views of Paris. In one of them there was a table with sitting for two, in the other one a beach umbrella and a beach chair.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

The apartment and its furniture was in very good shape and very comfortable. The apartment was very clean. It is also provided with reliable, free WiFi Internet.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

The beds were very comfortable, and there were not sofa beds in the apartment. The bathroom (washbasin, shower, WC) was conveniently furnished and provided with very good towels.

The bathroom presents the particularity of not being enclosed, but separated from the bedroom by a divider. This was not a problem at all, being it very clean and considering the apartment altogether, especially its central quiet location and the panoramic terraces.

Kitchen

The kitchen was independent from the living room, with more than enough pots, pans and dishes of good quality. It was excellent for cooking meals, with two fast electric stoves, a very good microwave, an ample sink, and a convenient fridge-freezer. It was conveniently furnished with closets and a washer.

Problems or Bonuses

No problems, we enjoyed staying here and would stay again. The panoramic terraces, the charming ornamentation with beams and the ample spaces available make this apartment much above the standard in Paris.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

The apartment is rented by a small agency with only quality apartments, mindful of guests' comfort. The on site, English speaking person, Yaniv, was very kind and professional. The apartment description on the website was accurate. In February, we paid the apartment for three persons less than 100 per night.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

I would recommend this apartment to others as well as my best friend. We will come back to stay here when in Paris again.

Things to do in this area

No specific recommendations; the apartment's location allows to enjoy the best of Paris, and there is plenty to do among museums, shops, restaurants and walking.
