Review 4029: Paris For Rent, Bourg 2 (MA301)

Review by Sandrine C from TX

3bed/2bath apartment in the 4th arrondissement, Paris

January 2009, 10 days

I rented my apartment through Paris for Rent. The representative I spoke with recommended an apartment in the Marais district. Both the apartment and the neighborhood were a great fit for me and my associates. The apartment is in a charming old building on the fifth floor (there is a tiny elevator.)

Nearby Amenities

The neighborhood was full of good surprises. It's a pretty fashionable area so the window shopping and people watching was some of the best we found in Paris. There was a bakery on our street a few doors down that we went to every single day. Their pastries and bread blew our minds. I think 90% of my Paris gluttony was spent at that bakery. Across the street is a Franprix so any little thing you forgot; a cheap bottle of wine, or yogurt was one minute away. We ate lunch one day at a local Brasserie called Bofinger. I can't even talk about it it was so good. I got the menu which included oysters, steak tartare and a half carafe of wine. It was heaven. I could have spent the whole vacation in the neighborhood eating, window shopping, and people watching from the cafes. It was blissful.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

The kitchen and living room were excellent. It was great to be able to do our own laundry and cook when we felt like it. Especially as a cup of coffee runs about $5US! The bedrooms were very special and cozy. The master has a big dresser and lot's of shelves and closet space to unpack. The second largest bedroom was cute and comfortable and the third bedroom is tiny but cozy and adorable. Our little girl loved it. The bathroom was great as it had a bathtub which is pretty much all I need.

There is two bathrooms, one with shower, the other with tub. Two WCs as well.

Good kitchen with a dishwasher. Nice full size fridge. Way more plates and pots we needed.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

I would accept any recommendation that anyone from Paris for Rent gave me. They really seemed to understand what type of an apartment and neighborhood we would enjoy based on our price range and tastes. Thank you Paris for Rent!

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

I will for sure go back myself!
