studio apartment, 11th arrondissement, Paris

Location

The Garret is situated in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, near to Place Republique with excellent public transport connections, the Parmentier metro station is a block away and bus 96, which travel through the Marais, Latin Quarter and St. Germain stop a few meters from the front door. Love the location. It is a working class neighbourhood, not many tourists, you get a glimpse of real French life.

Lots of grocery stores and restaurants in the direct vicinity of the apartment.

The House/Apartment

The building is historical, the apartment is very peaceful and quiet. It consist of an open plan bedroom with a double bed with a small kitchen, dining area and bathroom. Very compact, but perfect for two people.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Very good shape, everything your need, very clean.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

Bed was extremely comfortable, bathroom is small but adequate.

Kitchen

The kitchen was equipped with everything you need.

Problems or Bonuses

Bottle of champagne in fridge was wonderful surprise!

Agency and Representatives (and price)

We dealt with the owner directly, they went out of their way to accommodate us. The price was dirt cheap for Paris.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

I would love to go back on a yearly basis to this apartment. It was great to have that home feeling, would never stay in hotel again. Would recommend this apartment definitely!!!

Things to do in this area

Astier restaurant is a block away. L'autre cafe is the local cafe, loved the place and the food looked great. It was a treat exploring the neighborhood.
