Location

Sarlat on the Dordogne a stunning historical town perfection from an architectural point of view. We rented an apartment in Maison des Poetes a historical building right in the centre of town up one of the small winding alleyways typical of this medeival town. The apartment is located on the quiet side of the town, away from the shops, bars and restaurant. Super location couldn't ask for better

Nearby Amenities

The town is literally on your doorstep, with all you need , restaurants, bars, grocery stores etc.

The House/Apartment

Three apartments (one on each floor) in the building of an old medeival house. On the ground floor a shared spa, fitness area with jacuzzi and sauna. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment, beautifully decorated on the theme of French poets, plush furnishings, all conveniences. The designer has paid attention to detail, the look is modern but there are still many original architectural features that just give the place bags of charm.

Garden

No sitting out area , but the spa fitness room is great for relaxation.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

The apartments are relatively newly finished. Everything in pristine condition.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

Beautifuuly decorated bedroom with queen size bed. Bathroom with tub.

Kitchen

Stylish kitchen with dishwasher, microwave etc. But as there is so much choice for eating out at reasonable prices in Sarlat we did not do very much cooking.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Owner's customer service was superb. They speak English and we felt very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of advice and info was given to us on the area.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

We would certainly come back.

Things to do in this area

Le Bisto de l'Octroi, a little bit off the main tourist drag, fine cooking at reasonable prices.
