2bed/1bath apartment in 17th arrondissement, Paris WhenJuly 2009, 10 days LocationThe apartment is located in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. The area was quiet and in an excellent location. The nearest Metro stop (Rome) was only a two to three minute walk away. Nearby AmenitiesGrocery shops, take out places, restaurants and weekend markets were all nearby or within a few blocks. Very easy to walk to. The House/ApartmentTypical Parisian apartment building. The apartment was on the second floor (3rd American). There were two apartments per floor. The street was quiet except for garbage trucks in the morning. Little cafe and tabac below, friendly owners. GardenWindows with flower boxes opened above the street. The apartment was on a corner. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe apartment was very clean and comfortable. Easy living for a family of four. Very large by Paris standards. One bedroom with a queen and one bedroom with two twins. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe beds were extremely comfortable, the most comfortable in all our travels. There is one bathroom with shower and tub and a double vanity, toilet and bidet. Small combo washer/dryer was adequate. KitchenKitchen was small, one cook only, but fully functional and well stocked. We cooked meals almost every evening. Agency and Representatives (and price)The booking agency was very professional everything was well handled. On site agent speaks English and is knowledgeable about the area. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others? We definitely recommend this apartment for a family of four and would stay here again. Location was perfect. Things to do in this areaThough there were many restaurants in the immediate area we only ate out once nearby. The grocery shopping was very easy with a small grocery store on the way to the Metro and a large grocery store only one stop away. There are two weekend markets nearby. The best boulangerie (bakery) is out the apartment door to the right and left on the next street. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
