1bed/1bath apartment in 3rd Arrondissement, Paris WhenOctober 21 - November 20, 2009, one month LocationThe apartment is in the 3rd arrondissement, very close to the Place des Vosges. Nearby AmenitiesThis is a very convenient apartment:
The House/ApartmentThis is an old apartment building that was being renovated outside (including the electrical wiring) when we were there. It became rather messy during our stay since the outside was being re-plastered but should be completed by now. The apartment itself is in great shape and is being renovated currently after the outside renovation. There are numerous apartments in the building but didn't hear too much of the neighbors. The owner lives in the above apartment. GardenAlthough their is an inner courtyard, there is no sitting area. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe apartment is very clean. The bed is very comfortable but the chairs not too much. Instead of a couch, there are two daybeds - great to lay on but not so great for sitting. Most of the other chairs are stools. We did our own cleaning during the month but the linens and towels were picked up (and replaced) every Thursday for washing. There are lots of linens and towels provided. KitchenThe kitchen is good - regular sized refrigerator, cooking range with oven and dishwasher. We cooked all our meals in this apartment. Problems or BonusesWe were forewarned of the outside renovation by another ST member and that was appreciated. The owner thought that the renovation was going to be done by the time we arrived but it was more than a month behind. She gave us a discount plus a free week on our next stay for compensation with her apologies. Such a nice person! Also in the apartment when we arrived were bottled water, wine, juice, soda, Lindt chocolate bars, a pack of nuts, fruit (three apples, two pears, three plums, three kiwi, a couple of bananas) and Lu cookies. There were also tea, coffee, sugar, oil, vinegar, salt, spices in the cupboards. She also included a bottle of wine with the clean linens every week. Agency and Representatives (and price)The owner has limited English but her stepson spoke perfect English. They are both great to work with. The website is very representative of what's offered, prices as stated. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others? We are already booked to return in October 2010!! Things to do in this area
