apartments and cottages on an estate near Avignon, Provence

Location

The house was located on an estate in Noves, France, which is right next to St. Remy and only 20 minutes from Avignon and short distances from other Provence villages/cities. The area was the perfect pivot point for exploring the hilltop towns and other cultural sites in Provence. It was a fantastic location and very private. Moulin de la Roque is an estate consisting of several houses and apartments - all nicely arranged and situated.

Nearby Amenities

One could easily walk into Noves for groceries/wine/etc. It was a 10-minutes walk at the most.

The House/Apartment

The buildings on the estate are historical and beautiful renovated. Great attention was paid to detail/lighting/cleanliness/privacy and other factors that make your stay comfortable. We stayed in the Oliviers house, which had a lovely living room with great lighting. There was also a private patio for Oliviers.

There was one bedroom downstairs with a bathroom and shower (it had two twin beds that could be combined if need be). There were two bedrooms upstairs, both of which had their own private bathrooms with showers. They each had two twins, which could be combined into a king size bed, as ours was. There was a washing machine upstairs as well (very handy!). The kitchen appliances were modern and new.

Garden

There was a lovely outside seating area - table for six where we ate in the evenings - also a barbecue. There was a lovely pool on the property.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

All the furniture was in excellent, if not new shape. The house was extremely clean and there was plenty of seating for our group (there were four of us). The layout of the house was perfect.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Both owners speak English (one being from Virginia and the other from Brussels). All the information and communication was speedy, professional and thoughtful. The owners take pride in their property and are very accommodating.
