1bed/1bath apartment in 7th arrondissement, Paris WhenOct. 27 - Nov. 6, 2012, 10 nights LocationThis apartment is located at 78, rue Saint Dominique, 75007 Paris. This was quite a busy one way street, but being on the third floor we didn't hear any street noise. The bedroom was on the courtyard side, so very quiet at night. The bus 69 stopped right across the street and the Metro La Tour Maubourg stop was about a five-minute walk. Nearby AmenitiesThere were two excellent pastry/bread shops just minutes away, as well as three grocery stores and numerous clothing shops as well as a pharmacy. There were so many bistros/cafes on this street we has an excellent choice for lunches or dinners. There is an excellent One Michelin Star restaurant on this street that I would encourage everyone to try. It's called Le Violon d'Ingres. The House/ApartmentThe apartment is in an older six-story building. During our stay they were working on the outer walls in the courtyard, but there wasn't any noise in the evening or morning when we were in the apartment. The interior stairwell is in need of a good repair and paint job and there was some peeling paint quite visible but this did not affect our stay at all. GardenThere is a small inner courtyard for the entire building, but being this time of year did not see anyone out there. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe interior of the apartment seems to have been recently redone. It was clean, bright and exactly as depicted on the web site. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe bedroom had a queen-sized bed, very comfortable with good reading lamps on either side. There was a dresser and ample storage in the bedroom closet. KitchenAlthough we didn't do any major meal cooking, there were all the necessary utensils and pots, etc. for this. The rental agency provided us with enough excellent ground coffee, and loose tea and tea bags for our stay. They had also given us an excellent bottle of champagne and some croissants when we arrived. Agency and Representatives (and price)All the staff of this agency speak English and were very quick with responses when we emailed them. We were able to contact them by cell phone, if needed, any time at all. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others? This is the second time we've used this agency to rent a Paris apartment and would not hesitate to recommend them.
