Etruscan Things

The Etruscans lived in Italy before the Roman Empire. I am not going to give a history lesson here - because I don't know the history! But I do like to hunt out Etruscan things in Italy. They are similar to the ancient stone circles you find in England and the dolmans you find in Ireland. You will find Etruscan burial grounds and other remnants all over Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio. My very favorite is the Etruscan Walkways near Pitigliano.

Etruscan Regions

This is a list of Etruscan sights grouped by region taken from the book "Italia Etrusca - Guida Completa" (see resources below). The book is in Italian and I have just listed the regions and towns described in the book. Use this as a guide to help you locate Etruscan things - use your guidebook for more details. This list is just to orient you to wear you can find Etruscan things.
