In Aquapendente, a town just south of San Casciano, over the border
into the Lazio region, we found a meat shop specializing in the salami
from the Norcia region - at least we assume that is what this is. We didn't
go inside. We took this picture for our friend Stef in Vancouver who loves
this special type of salami (or whatever it is). |

Castelmuzio, Tuscany (north of Pienza). Most villages have one small
food store. Here is the Coop in Castelmuzio, down a small lane in the
historic center. |

Castelmuzio, Tuscany (north of Pienza). The butcher shop is hidden
away down a small lane with a very small sign.

This sign on the butcher shop translates as:
Freshly butchered meats
sheep, cattle (beef), goats, swine |
