We have stayed at this B&B for the past four years (starting in 2004) and will shortly be staying there again. Located in the small village of San Angelo Scalo, English is rarely heard and you can thoroughly immerse yourself in Italian culture. The personal service of Signora Giannetti and her daughter (Erica) Signorina Dotti is a delight. The rooms are very comfortable and very pretty. You sleep on linen sheets which I finally found for purchase in nearby Montalcino. Now I can get into bed and pretend I am back in Italy. There is a "pod" espresso maker and the basic breakfast items of pastries, yogurt and juice are stocked in the fridge. A well-stocked alimentari (small supermarket) is just a few steps down the road should you want anything else. We love to buy a bottle of wine at their shop, located on the other side of the building and sit on the tented patio enjoying the view of the mountains and the garden. We have been paying €60 a day but the rates on the door go a bit higher, to €75 I think. We stay at least five days and many places in Italy discount after day 3. We always pay in cash. The location of this B&B is ideal for anyone having dinner at the Banfi ristorante. All you have to do is drive down the long winding "driveway", cross the road and into the parking lot.
