What a wonderful place. We stayed 4 nights here in May and I wish we had stayed longer. This agriturismo is just outside of San Gimignano in the direction of Volterra. It is rustic and quiet with a lovely setting among green hills of vineyards. The decor is simple and clean. Our room was fairly large and had 3 huge windows on 2 sides, so it had a light and airy feel. The bathroom was modern and clean. They don't provide shampoo so bring that with you. We stayed in the main house and chose to have a balcony (making the rate 80 euros, a steal). We liked that we were close to the breakfast room and to the dinner seating, but I might choose the other building next time. The annex building is down a small hill, and some of the rooms have a view of San Gimignano. You can park down there so you don't have to haul your luggage up or down the hill, but you will probably walk to breakfast and dinner, so be aware of that. Speaking of the dinners, they were fantastic. They serve dinner every night at 8 pm, generally at a big long table on a patio. It is a typical Tuscan meal, with 4 courses, including wine, for 20E per person. We ended up eating there every night, since the food was so delicious, and also we didn't want to be out late drinking wine and driving back on the curvy Chianti roads. The dinners are served family style, so you get to know your fellow residents, and we enjoyed that. While we were there, it was a mix of British, Italian, Danish, and Swedish travelers, which made for a fun atmosphere. I could go on and on about this place, it was our absolute favorite place on our 2-week trip to Italy and I'll recommend it to anyone.
