An agriturismo in the middle of Sicily. Nice clean rooms at good prices.

Agriturismo Sovoca has both a B&B option and apartments. This is a working farm with horses and dogs and a dozen peacocks. The rooms are nice and they are clean and there is a pool. The meals were simple but filling, except breakfast was a little meager even by Italian standards.

I picked Sovoca because of its location but I did have trouble with e-mail; no one speaks English. Once I switched to Italian there was no problem with the e-mail. I had no problem when I was there with the lack of English and my Italian is minimal. The people were welcoming and did their best to please. When I had no hot water in my room they moved me to a much larger apartment. The bed and breakfast was €30 each and half pension was €48 each. I would stay here again.
