Agriturismo Buonasera is a wonderful property located in the nature reserve of Carbonara. Formerly a hunting lodge, the property has been beautifully restored and is operated by Stefano Augugliaro and his lovely wife Stella who live there along with their two children and an entertaining terrier named "Boo". After spending a week in Venice, my friends and I headed to Agriturismo Buonasera for a few days. It proved to be conveniently located for a variety of day trips including Bagnoregio, Viterbo, Orvieto, and Lake Bolsena. In hindsight we realized it would also be a convenient location from which to make a day trip via the train into Florence or via car to Deruta. In addition to hosting tourists from all over the world, Agriturism Buonasera also plays host to a large number of Italian guests. We enjoyed the mix of guests which included families, couples and our group of 3 ladies. We opted to include dinner in our stay (lodging with breakfast & dinner was only 60 euros a day) and were treated each night to wonderful meals. The property has a beautiful swimming pool for those days when you want to stay put and enjoy the wonderful surroundings. Upon arriving back from our daily outings, we enjoyed apperitivi outside while unwinding before dinner. I highly recommend Agriturismo Buonasera and hope to stay there again in the future!
