This is an excellent agriturismo with many amenities and great views — but it is the hosts that make it special. We already plan to return next year!

This agriturismo has five rooms that are in little houses of 1-2 rooms each, scattered within their vineyard. We stayed with friends in one little house that had 2 rooms — an upstairs and a downstairs. Each room had a comfortable bed, a heating stove (not needed at this time of year), and a nice bathroom with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Everything was furnished to a high standard.

In the central area of the agriturismo were a sauna, hot tub, and small heated pool. The wood-fired sauna was particularly appreciated after a long day of driving/hiking. There was also a common guest area with a television and a shared guest kitchen. I had some concerns about a shared kitchen, but they were quickly laid to rest! This one was set up as two complete kitchens each with a stove, refrigerator, sink, dishwasher, and preparation area. All of the equipment was new and of high quality. I could not think of any type of preparation or serving utensil that they did not have in their cupboards.

There is a Conad within 10-15 minutes by car. The center of town is also about that distance. We did not spend a lot of time there but it looked like there were plenty of restaurants and things to do.

The hosts also provided breakfast each morning. It started with delicious cakes, bread, cheese, sausages, and jams of their own production. The host (Davide) would then prepare a coffee or tea for each guest as well as an omelet.

The property is located a little off the beaten track at a higher elevation so it has a beautiful view over the Aosta valley — just look at the photographs! This was an excellent location for touring much of the valley. (Although a small portion of the entry road was a little rough.) We enjoyed daytrips to the Grand Paradiso national park and the Matterhorn. And, there is much more that we did not have time to explore this trip.

Finally the hosts. Davide and Emmanuelle are wonderful, friendly people. They made us feel welcome and comfortable. They did not speak English, so we communicated mostly in French and Italian. They were also easy to work with in booking the property via email. (I used Bing translator and my small amount of Italian.)
