A great bed and breakfast in the heart of Palermo. {3 star}

Colleen and I stayed here in early March. We both highly recommend it. It is in a very central area of Palermo within walking distance of the major sites. There are many great restaurants in the vicinity and the famous Vucceria Market is right down the street.

Our room was like a mini-suite. There was one room with a single bed, a dining table, and a small kitchen, and another bedroom with one double bed (that could be made into two singles.) There was plenty of space for the two of us. The furnishings were better than average, and the beds comfortable.

The B & B rooms are at the back of a very large building, and the owners live in the front. You check in at the front but then are given a key to your own entrance, which is through a small courtyard in the back. It was very quiet in our room.

The owners, Rosi and Luca (I think!) were responsive to emails before we left and couldn't have been nicer or more helpful when we arrived. Breakfast is not served in the B & B - instead you get a coupon to have your cappuccino and cornetto at the famous Antica Focacceria di San Francesco, down the street.

The cost was quite reasonable; only 110 per night with a 10% discount for cash.
