Upon arrival I was told I would be given a smaller room without a private bathroom due to overbooking. Money seemed more important than hospitality. {2 star}

When I arrived, I was told that I would be given a smaller room without a private bathroom due to overbooking. I made a reservation with this hotel 5 months in advance and was in contact with the hotel to confirm my reservation a few weeks before flying to Italy. I felt that the situation with my room was not just a problem with overbooking or someone more important must have arrived before I did and ended up in my room.

The woman running the hotel ordered her help around in a very snobbish way and always seemed to be hurrying me out of the reception area when I had a question. Breakfast was horrible. It consisted of a little packet of some sort of granola and the worst English coffee immaginable. It seemed that saving every possible euro seemed more important than hospitality. Needless to say, I would not recommend this hotel.

Pleasant room, teeny bathroom, would recommend but for the management style -- Pennies and guests were watched so closely that one began to feel uncomfortable.
