The Ambassador Tre Rose was the hotel I worried about booking - but it all turned out well for us in the end. {3 stars}

The Ambassador Tre Rose is a 3 star hotel, and it has a good location very close to Piazza San Marco. The room was small and there was really no view from our room. Our air conditioning was fantastic but this is not the same in all the rooms. Our son and his friend tried 3 rooms before they were happy with the air conditioning.

All rooms are different. We had a decent shower (no tub), sink, toilet, bidet and towels. There was also a mini-refrigerator. The beds were okay, although we were so tired, anything would have been comfortable. I do not like the way the beds split apart.

The breakfast was included. There was cereal, milk, juices, rolls, packaged breads, fruits, jams, cheese and coffee.

Check in was at 2:00pm. We arrived at 1:00 and were told we had to wait. A young good looking girl and guy came in and got their room at 1:30, so I went back up to the desk and was allowed to check in early, also. Another receptionist was very nice and helpful. She let us check our email on her computer for our son's arrival and made calls regarding our blocked credit cards. She also called around trying to find Rubinato Ink for my husband. But I must say she was the exception to the staff there. The maids were very noisy when they noticed the "Don't Disturb" sign on my door, around 2:00pm. (The room had been empty since 8:00am but still hadn't been made up.)

The hotel was clean, and a reasonable price for Venice I suppose, 119 euros for weekdays and 135 euros for Friday.
