Located 1.5 hours south of Bologna in the central Appenine mountains. Offers horseback riding, hiking, mushroom hunting in season - a very nice mountain retreat.

We stayed here for three nights in October. Our room had a bed height window allowing us to view the mountains without getting out of bed. Good sized room with a modern bathroom with shower stall.

Very nice and cozy dining room with a roaring fire where we had some well prepared local cuisine - much of which is grown in their large garden. I counted 9 cats, 4 dogs (they all live outside), goats, cows, ducks and, of course, horses.

We did a very nice hike up almost to the summit of Mt.Cimone - the highest peak in this part of the Appenines. We talked of revisiting this wonderful place before we even left. Highly recommended!
