Lovely and very affordable B&B in Trastevere with modern, clean and comfortable rooms.

I stayed for a week with my mom at the Arco del Lauro B&B. This B&B is a wonderful place to stay in Trastevere. It is located very close to the Tiber, about equally distant between the Ponte Garibaldi and the Ponte Palatino.

The rooms are very clean, comfortable and modern. The bathroom was great. In the office area where the owner Lorenza takes care of things, there is free internet access and a small refrigerator which has juice and snacks. Lorenza is from Liguria but is very knowledgeable about Roma. She has excellent sightseeing recommendations for the day and dinner recommendations for the evening.

For anyone who hasn't stayed in Trastevere, the major sights are easily reachable on foot or via a bus.

Breakfast is included, in the cafe around the corner from the B&B. The neighborhood in which the B&B is situated is very quaint. There are many excellent restaurants nearby, but the rooms are quiet at night so you can sleep easily.

The nightly rates for the B&B are very reasonable (95E - 135E for double occupancy). The website is very informative.

Overall, I would highly recommend staying at the Arco del Lauro B&B.
