Sorrento: B&B Casa Correale4 Via B Rota

An easily overlooked gem. Quiet, secluded, clean, unpretentious. Large, airy rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Very good value!
We walked past it twice because it's easily overlooked.
Directly across from Hotel De Le Ville, Casa Correale sits in the lime/lemon/olive grove they show on the website. The property may not be as well groomed as it was at the time the photos were taken, but the rooms are clean and airy with high ceilings.
Temperatures were in the low 80's but we did not need the available air conditioning. Double bed, spacious armoire. Towels refreshed two of the three days we stayed.
Rooms are smoke free; the property is not.
Breakfast included cereal, milk, freshly squeezed orange juice, yogurt, croissants, honey, preserves, ham, salami, cheese, nutella and a low cake with apricot topping. Choose coffee American, Italian, cappuccino, espresso. The food is not fancy, but it can be substantial. Food is served under a large umbrella in front of the building, weather permitting.
Fellow guests were all Italians.
Come and go as you please.
Easy walk to and from the Circumvesuviana station for buses and trains to Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, Naples.
The owner also operates La Kambusa restaurant in the harbor, where we enjoyed a delicious seafood dinner.
Casa Correale is convenient to Corso Italia, but distant enough to be away from the crowd and noise. 90 euros per night. 4 out of 5 stars.
