Great small non-smoking B&B with 5 rooms in the center of Florence. Between the Duomo and Piazza della Signoria.

I booked this whole B & B for a group I took to Italy last summer. I was staying in the apartment on the floor above. I had stayed at this apartment in June of 2004 as well. The location is perfect. You can walk everywhere. Even though you are in the middle of everything it is on a side street so not as noisy. But remember if you stay in the middle of Florence you will get some noise in the middle of the night.

Liked: clean, reasonable (€90 - €120 for a twin/double depending on the season), nice owner who is involved, and non-smoking.

Neutral: Breakfast a bit packaged, but good cappuccino, espresso, juice, and cereal. Breads and rolls are packaged and they could use more fresh fruit.

Overall I recommend it.

Close to the Duomo; a perfect base for Florence. {3 star}

Cimatori was recommended on the Slow Trav message boards. It was clean, simple and comfortable. For the price - it was a good deal in such a great location. We could walk everywhere. For being in the heart of Florence it was quiet because is was on a quiet side street. Next door was a great bakery/winebar called Cantinetta Dei Verrazzano which we also recommend.
