We booked this B&B through sleepinitaly.com which is a great organization. Giulia and her staff are just awesome in assisting with questions, phone calls and emails. They are very prompt in responding. I cannot say enough good things about Giulia and her collegues. This B&B is located in via Duilio street in a large office/apt building. LEPANTO metro station and bus stops are about a 6 min walking distance from this B&B. The B&B in on the 3d floor (4th floor for Americans) of this classy looking building. You have a very nice lift that easily accomodate 2-3 people and luggage with no problems. The building is in a very safe and clean neighbourhood with access to many resturants (including an Indian/Pakistan resturant called "Shanti"), shops, banks, ATM machines. Just across from the buidling is a lovely Snack Shop where you will have your simple coffee and croissant - the B&B will provide you with a coupon. The owners of this snack shop are friendly and very nice and a good example of the wonderful Italians in Rome. We really liked this place due to its location, quietness and proximity to the public transport. It is just one subway stop away to St. Peter's, and a couple of stops away from Rome Termini and many other Rome attractions. You can also walk to the Vatican in about 20-30 mins. The caretaker's name is Ana Maria. She speaks broken english but there is no problem in communicating with her. She is professional and very nice. When you check in she will walk you through all the necessary instructions. You need one key to enter the building complex from the street. Once you get to your floor, the card key will let you open the door to the apartment corridor and then the same key to your room. The room is fairly large with a king size bed and a small table and chair. Couple of side tables are also provided. I wish they would provide an alarm clock. So, take a small one with you if you need to keep tour times and so on. The bathroom is just fantastic and large for European standards. It is a long bathroom with shower, bidet, toilet and a pedestal stand wash basin. We loved this bathroom. Everything worked perfectly and the hot shower is a charm. Mind you, no bathtub!!! They have a fairly large closet with a safety depost box. Please don't forget to ask Ana Maria for some extra hangers. You need them. The only complaint about this room is not much walking space to put your luggage and so on but it is definitely manageable. For a price of 110E with a simple breakfast, you cannot beat this place. It is very quiet and safe. One more thing - keep the phone number of this place handy in case your flight is going to be delayed. It is very important that you notify them in case your arrival time changes. We recommend this B&B without any reservation. We stayed here 4 nights and took a chance on this B&B since there were no "reviews" on this B&B, either on SlowTrav or tripadvisor.com. Our gamble paid off. My wife just fell in love with this simple yet practical accommodation. I hope our review will help few people who are looking for a CLEAN and NICE accommodation.
