I stayed at the B&B Evelina for two nights. My room was lovely, with a very comfortable bed. Shared bathroom. Simona and Guilio are wonderful hosts. The B&B is in the town center and very easy to find. It is on the third floor with no elevator, but Guilio was kind enough to help me with my luggage when I arrived and departed. We stayed at B&B Evelina in Lucca, in May 2012 & would return happily at less than a moment's notice. What we loved: - Tastefully decorated rooms - An outstanding brekkie that included Italian chocolate cake with a shortcrust & home-made plum & mandarin jam (Martha Stewart would have been impressed) - Warm hosts (Simona & Giulio) who felt like friends and were never intrusive - An excellent location, in the centre of the city and close to excellent restaurants - Lovely bed linen - Free wifi - Located in a 300 year old building (fascinating) The only thing that could have been better was if there were an elevator (but they're hard to find in 300 year old buildings!). Simona & Giulio helped us with our luggage, which was very kind. We were a group of 5 and rented 3 rooms in May. The price, at that time, was E75 for the doubles and E60 for our single person. For the amenities, quality of fittings, excellent hosts etc; this was a bargain. We would happily return, even if the price was 30% higher... Just delightful, a real gem.
