Pleasant and a good value, limited service.

I chose this place and Controguerra as a base for exploring Abruzzo and Ascoli Piceno. It was a great deal at 25 for a single. At the price, I needed to learn about the limited service of a B&B as opposed to a hotel. We'd established by e-mail that I could arrive before the 4 p.m. check-in time, but I didn't set up an exact time. I called on arrival at the locked gate and was advised to come back in an hour.

I was the only guest on the ground floor; there may have been others upstairs some of the time. The owners didn't stay there; they left packaged rolls for breakfast and instructed me to put coffee on the stove. The room was nice looking and the bathroom was across the hall. The owners, Alex and his mother, were nice. At that price, it was cash only; the usual requirement to send a deposit by bank transfer was waived in my case.
