My evenings were spent at Il Mio Porto Tranquillo, situated in the heart of Vetralla -- a quaint medieval town an hour from Rome.

My next venture led me to Vetralla, a very interesting medieval town about an hour north of Rome. I found this area to be most enchanting and it beckoned me to learn more about the goings on amid the town's walls.

The B&B offered a lovely, quiet private room and bath owned by Lea who really knows how to make you feel welcome. She puts on a wonderful breakfast on the terrace offering panoramic views of the hills. I left the table full, happy and ready to explore.
