Cortine: B&B La Canonica di Cortine

Reviewed by: Shirleya53 from TX, review #1905

When: May 2007

Lovely peaceful setting.

This bed & breakfast is a short way off the A2 between Siena and Florence near San Donato. That is why I chose it -in the country but close to the main highway. It is an ancient Tuscan castle among the vineyards. We had the Leonardo Room which is a Junior Suite with 2 twin beds upstairs. Clean, roomy, and good views with lovely grounds. Staff was very friendly: Marco, Lena, Stephano, Irene.

They do have a computer to use for 6 euros an hour. We had our own laptop and Stephano gave us an ethernet cord for the internet to use in our room.

Special breakfast request at an extra cost. NO laundry facilities unless you are renting an appartment. Otherwise very expensive to be sent out. No A/C but it was breezy and cool enough in May that we didn't need it.

I would highly recommend this beautiful place!!
