Helpful owners, excellent location, fabulous B&B, highly recommended.

We loved this B&B and highly recommend it. It's located right on the Piazza della Repubblica so we were right in the heart of the city. We were able to open our windows and listen to the musicians playing in the piazza and watch the carousel.

The owners, Claudio and Roberta, are extremely helpful and friendly. They were very willing to make restaurant reservations, and they even helped us find a doctor when my husband was ill. And when we were stranded in Florence for extra days due to Iceland's volcanic ash situation, they worked to accommodate us again.

The rooms are very well appointed with all the things you'd expect but also with several extras (fresh flowers, magnifying make-up mirrors). They have nice linens and are very tastefully decorated. They do not serve breakfast, but they give you tickets that may be used in two excellent caffes that are close to the B&B.

The owners actually have 2 B&Bs that are just a few blocks apart, and we stayed in both of them. La Dimora del Centro has been open for about a year and has 3 rooms. La Dimora della degli Angeli has 6 rooms and has only been open about 6 months. We moved from one to another because we arrived without reservations during our extended vacation. We loved them both. Each B&B has a nice gathering area where they have teas and coffees and snacks.

This is becoming a very popular B&B in Florence for very good reason. Be sure to book ahead.
