The rooms are located in 2 buildings on Via Berignano which runs parallel to the main street, Via San Giovanni. The buildings and rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. We stayed in the room called Camera Gialla (room #7) which overlooks the front. This is the first picture in the “yellow room” pictures on their website. Although it looked out the front, noise wasn’t a problem as there isn’t much traffic at all on the street. If we were staying for several days, I’d probably choose one of the larger rooms next time since our room didn’t have anyplace to sit besides the bed and a chair by the desk. The bathroom was modern with deep blue tiles, an enclosed shower with great pressure, hairdryer, good soft towels. There was a little mini-ironing board and iron in our wardrobe, satellite tv/radio (if you plan to use this, make sure you get detailed instructions on how to work the remote – as best we could figure out, most of the satellite programs were from Germany), stocked minibar with room for some of your own items if you choose, and air conditioning/heating unit in the room. Our floor had a common area with a kitchen and seating area. We were on the (US) second floor, no elevator. We didn’t take the 5E per person breakfast so I can’t comment on that other than to say that there were only 3 or 4 tables in the dining area. (It was in the other building 2 doors away from ours). The negatives: there is nobody on the premises 24/7 and you cannot drive to the building with your luggage. You have to call ahead or show up to the family’s tobacco shop which is around the corner on the main street to get yourself checked in. The son had us follow him in our car to the parking area they offer (not one of the city lots) for 5E per 24 hour period. We transferred our luggage to his car and then he took us to the building and did the reverse when we were leaving. Obviously this is a bit of an inconvenience ... but I’m not sure how the hotels in town handle this either. Also, checkout is at 10am which is earlier than most other places we stayed. The mother and son who run things both spoke decent English. The mother is a delight, by the way. A very petite, stylish lady with a friendly, engaging personality. She gave us a map and highlighted several restaurants on it when she checked us in and was very interested in hearing our feedback when we checked out.
