A gem of a B&B, in a gem of a city.

I had helpful, friendly communication with the owner of this B&B before my 5 night stay. He is indeed, a welcoming host, with a comfortable, clean and well equipped property. As a native of Orvieto, he can answer just about any question for you, including the best places to eat.

What a special place. The building is about 500 years old, and traces of frescoes are to be seen in most of the rooms. I slept very well here, it was quiet and I felt secure. My private bathroom was just down the hall; it was spacious and provided with plenty of soft towels.

Amano provides an excellent breakfast, which is ready from about 7:30 onwards. This is a boon for those who like an early start.

Orvieto is a little gem, and well worth a few days visit. Sant'Andrea is well located for access to all the wonderful attractions. Amano can help with parking, if you arrive by car.

I would recommend this B&B for single travelers, couples and families. I would certainly go back, if I'm lucky enough to visit Italy again.
