Great location, comfortable rooms, good price

The location is great, the rooms are comfortable, and the owner is wonderful. She will make recommendations for restaurants and make reservations as well as call taxis. The website is accurate and the price is reasonable - I paid 75 euros a night.

Good location, pleasant enough place for a few nights.

Since we were only in Orvieto for two nights, we decided to stay at this b&b (not to be confused with Hotel Valentino). Our room was quite nice; there was a private bath with shower stall stall and bidet, a couch, dining table, and kitchenette. It was on the 1st floor (2nd American), which made hauling luggage up a bit of a chore.

It's possible to drive to the b&b without going into any ZTL, which was nice. We dropped the luggage off, and then parked in the free parking down near the top of the funicular and the tourist information stop.

Valentina was nice to work with and speaks English. She lives in the building, and must have a dog, for barking was heard several times, though thankfully not in the middle of the night. Overall, the room was very quiet.

The worst thing about the apartment was that we were again cursed by very dim lighting. By the time I got home, I was longing for 100 watt lightbulbs!

Pros: The location was ideal, just a couple of blocks from Via Cavour. The parking lot was more distant, maybe a 5 or 10 minute walk, but Orvieto is such a walkable place that it wasn't a hassle. The price was certainly right: 70 euros per night without breakfast.

Cons: Minor things: Not to sound like a broken record, but the lighting! Also, we were a little perplexed by the towels - they were sized like regular towels, but the texture was like tea towels. Very strange - it felt like we were drying off with a tablecloth.

Overall recommendation: Would definitely recommend, but for us, only for a few days, given the lack of separate spaces and good reading light.

A great place in a great location at a great price

Our room was cozy and comfortable. The bathroom had a shower that was larger than most of the ones I have seen in Italy. We had a small balcony looking out on an enclosed courtyard. The location is very central in the historical center. Valentina speaks excellent English and is very helpful with restaurant recommendations, reservations, places to see, and calling taxis. At 75 euros a night this is a good value in a great town.

This is the perfect place to stay in Orvieto. The rooms are lovely, the location is great, and the host, Valentina, is very helpful and welcoming.

I highly recommend Valentina's B & B. It is fabulous! The B & B has two double rooms, a triple (larger double room with an extra single bed), a studio apartment, and a two-bedroom apartment. Valentina showed us all of them during our stay there and all were beautifully decorated and cozy. Everything has been renovated perfectly and is very well thought out. The bed was very comfortable.

Unlike some other B &Bs, thereís no breakfast room, so you donít get to meet the other visitors as easily. (Donít make the mistake of taking breakfast from the hall shelves and then walking into one of your neighbors room thinking itís a sitting room! Oops.)

The double room we were in wasn't big, but it had a little balcony. The rooms are immaculate and thereís cleaning service every day and fresh towels. Overall, a great place to stay and a very good deal for the price!

Valentinaís is accurately shown on the website. The rooms are nice and the location is great. The bathroom is good sized and has a hairdryer. Our room had a little balcony over looking a small courtyard.

What is not shown is the owner Valentina who is a sweetheart. She will give recommendations for dinner and make reservations. At Ä65 this is a good deal.
