Very comfortable and well situated hotel in Norcia.

The Bianconi family owns several hotel properties in Norcia. When our agriturismo stay in the area went sour, I knew from previous experience that the Bianconis could accommodate us reliably and comfortably. For 85 Euro per night (prices are higher in summer season) we had a large room with private jacuzzi bath, king bed, table and chairs & desk, etc. Our private balcony overlooked mountains, farmland and the tree-lined main road into Norcia.

By this time, the Italian heat wave was getting started and unfortunately the hotel's air conditioning wasn't working one night. Because the heat wasn't as brutal in the mountains we made do with leaving the balcony doors open. The sounds of early morning 18 wheeler downshifting was a minor inconvenience. Other than this glitch our stay was most enjoyable. The hotel is an easy walk to the town center, had a decent free breakfase buffet, easy free parking, nice pool. A lot of sport teams stay there because of their sports facilities. One will also meet many Italian tourists at the hotel. There are several good restaurants for dinner. We also enjoyed getting take out from a rosticceria and watching the sun set while dining on our private balcony.
