Unbelievably central location across from the Vittorio Emanuele Monument and very helpful staff at an incredibly low price, but not without its drawbacks. {3 stars}

This is an object lesson in making a sow's ear into a silk purse. The hotel is an unremarkable 4 story building made interesting by decorating the halls with startling art and furniture.

Our double bedroom was tiny - barely enough room to move around the bed. The spatial illusion was made worse, in my opinion, by the use of dark brocade everywhere except on the walls. The bed was very comfortable.

Breakfast was upstairs on the 4th floor and was not bad by Italian standards. Although breakfast was billed as being available from 7 - 9:30 am, we discovered that it was virtually non existent after about 9 am. On the other hand, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is best described as funky and incredibly central. If you want luxury and/or space this is probably not for you, but if you do not tend to spend much time in your hotel and simply want an inexpensive hotel in a central location, this could be your ideal spot.

We booked the hotel via a link from the Ryanair website and paid just over 150 euros for a double room for 3 nights. I have since checked on the price for a 3 night stay in March and the price came up at around 220 euros for 3 nights. I am not sure whether we got such a good price because our room was small, because it was February, or because we just happened upon a good deal. We booked about 3 weeks prior to arrival.
