Our family of five stayed in Roncade 3, which was not luxurious but had lots of character. (How often do Americans get to stay in the turret of a castle??) We enjoyed eating appetizers (provided by some other guests who had been there before) and drinking the family's wine under the trees, then walking a couple of blocks to one of several nice restaurants down the street. In the morning the children played with some other vistors in the center of the castle while we looked at the winery. The family was so warm and so eager to share their wonderful wine with us. The ambiance of the castle was incredible. A wonderful way to start our northern Italy adventure! This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
