A fabulous, private 6 room B&B/Villa, fully renovated 13th Century Church in the beautiful Umbrian countryside, infinity pool, beautiful grounds, great hosts!

Chiesa Pagano is a beautifully restored 13th century church, now a very private 6 room villa. The landscape was designed and painstakingly laid out by the owner Giancarlo, a talented architect. Owners/hosts are husband and wife, Giancarlo and Anne. The house overlooks the idylic valley between Niccone and Mercatale (near Umbertide). There are multiple terraces that surround an infinity pool. The villa is located about 1KM up a private road, above the small town of Spedalicchio.

The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. We had a very relaxing stay there for 5 nights, and happened to be the only guests! This won't last long, as they only opened in January 2005, and have already been written up in Bell'Italia magazine.

A very nice European style breakfast is served each morning.

This really is a beautiful part of Umbria. It is about 25km from Cortona, about 35km from Perugia, 25km to Gubbio.

Room prices are very reasonable, 130-160 euros, double occupancy. Their website gives lots of other details, in multiple languages.

There are some fabulous family style restaurants nearby, all very reasonably priced! Ciao! Chris
