Loc. La Morra: Erbaluna Agriturismo

Reviewed by: joe from Israel, review #2559

When: October 2008

Great value in a beautiful location, helpful staff, and a good base to tour the region. We'd gladly return.

The Erbaluna agriturismo is an organic winery situated in the western Langhe, just outside of La Morra, in a small hamlet called Annunziata. It offers rooms that are adjacent to the winery, and a few additional apartments in neighboring towns. We stayed in one of the double rooms by the winery.

The reception room is right inside the winery, so the combination of the aroma of fermenting grapes and the friendly reception we received, made us feel that we had come to a nice accommodation right from the beginning.

Both the staff people who we encountered were fluent in English, and very helpful in whatever questions we had for them.

The double room we had was spacious, comfortable and styled with beautiful wooden furniture. It was connected to an outdoor common terrace with a beautiful view to the surroundings. Breakfast was great, and we especially liked the fact that this small dining room + kitchen was open to the guests all day, so that it was possible to prepare a small meal or have a hot drink at any hour.

Our first morning at the place was the first day in a dismal week of heavy fog and cloudy skies that the sun appeared amidst blue skies, so that from the terrace we had our first true view of the splendor of Piemonte, a fact that made our stay there even more memorable.

We paid E68 per night, which was in our opinion great value for what we received, and would be happy to return.
