When: September 2003

Nice BB but very cramped and no one around for help that we could find. {2 stars}

This was on the 3rd floor and is considered a BB. The owners corresponded in perfect English but we were let in by the cleaning lady that spoke zero English. We solved our communication problems by calling the owner on the cleaning lady's cell phone.

Our room was tight, tight, tight even by European standards. We barely had room to walk around the bed. For a longer stay, this would be impossible.

We overlooked an interior courtyard that was extremely noisy all night with all the different mechanical units for the buildings surrounding it.

The room was nicely decorated and very clean. The bath was new and nice. Our biggest concern was the fact that there was no one around at all. Luckily someone was there when we arrived but she was cleaning and done shortly after that. We left during the big blackout in Rome in the pitch dark. Thank God we had a flashlight; the steps would have been quite a tumble! I would not stay here again but the price was good (130 euros)and it was nice, new and clean.
