A lovely hotel, perfectly located near Piazza Maggiore. {4 stars}

The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful.

There is a computer to use for free and WIFI in the rooms.

My double room (#308) was spacious with TV, air conditioning, small refrigerator, plenty of closet space, hangers and safe. The bed was a Queen size and very very comfy!!!!

Modern bathroom with bathtub, shower, toilette, & bidet. Terry robe and slippers. Plenty of fluffy towels for your bath. Oh yes, a hair dryer, too.

At night they place a bath-type mat next to your bed for your feet, how nice is that?! Of course they leave you a chocolate, too. Maid service superb (I had sweet Santina).

The elevator mat is changed daily so you know what day of the week it is! Fabulous! I want to be the daily elevator mat changer person!

The breakfast was plentiful: eggs, bacon, ham, cheese, yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereal, danishes, juice and very good cappuccinos! The cafe' staff was very friendly and courteous.

I loved staying here for 6 nights and would recommend this hotel to anyone who plans on being in Bologna.

A great deal in the center of town. {4 star}

I can't say enough good things about this place. I've stayed there two different times in the last 2 years, as well as other hotels in Bologna, and this one is a winner.

First, it's a few meters away from the Piazza Maggiore, the center of town; you can walk throughout the entire centro storico from here.

It's a four star hotel. In March, 2004 we paid 180 for a double room. In March, 2005, the price quoted on the website was 180. I emailed them directly and asked for a quote, and they responded with a price of 110 as some sort of promotional special.

I want to stress that I've done this numerous times - found hotels online in Italy, but when I called them or emailed them directly, was quoted a lower price.

The staff at this hotel speak English well, so you don't need to do these transactions in Italian.

It's the oldest hotel in Bologna, but thoroughly modernised inside, with a contemporary feel to it.

Excellent bathroom and room decor, very clean. There is a startlingly good continental/Italian breakfast included, meaning no matter which way you want to eat, it's available. And the hotel is small as well - maybe 15 rooms. I'll stay there from now on.
