Overpriced. Not four star quality. Not recommended. {4 star}

We stayed for a week and were not impressed. AC worked fine and the beds were ok, but the room was very small (probably originally a single), the safety box didn't work, the "small" toilet flush didn't work, the bathroom sink took forever to empty, the bathroom door could be opened/closed with violence only and the walls had dirty fingerprints all over.

When we arrived there was clothing (forgotten) in a drawer and a half-eaten chocolate in the minibar.

The telephone outside the room would ring often at all hours and nobody ever answered. Carpets and walls were worn and dirty.

The bartender preferred watching TV in a back room (you could hear), spoke Italian only and rarely had any change.

Breakfast was so-so with boiled rather than fried bacon and coloured sugar-water instead of juice. The yoghurt was nice, though.

Supposedly a four star hotel - it should be two stars and half the price. I certainly do not recommend this hotel.

Fantastic {4-star} hotel near Termini train station in Rome.

This hotel is a great hotel for the price. In case you get lost, just look at the tops of the buildings around Termini until you see the neon "Hotel Ariston" sign to find your way "home". The staff was very attentive, courteous, and friendly. The breakfast was delicious. I especially recommend the chocolate croissants. The room was quiet, nicely furnished, very clean and had a safe. The bathroom was amazing. The marble and the beautiful lighting made me feel like I was a princess. I recommend this hotel as a great location to catch the Metro. It was my first time in Rome and so I was wary of spending too much on anything. I took the Leonardo Express train from the {Fiumicino} airport for 11 euros straight to the neighborhood of the hotel. I hope to stay here again one day.
